Brilliant Lorna Bailey Art ware pottery teapot, Odyssey. Designed in the shape of the Planet Saturn to commemorate the millennium. World wide limited edition- no. Bright, colourful ceramic teapot with lid, space theme. Hand painted with artist's monogram to base. Planet with protruding'rings of Saturn' / spaceship. Lovely tilted spherical shape adorned with stars and comets. Produced by Old Ellgreave Pottery, Stoke on Trent, England c. Late 90s, signed by Lorna Bailey to the base.

A very rare, quirky and original piece with playful, kitsch postmodern feel. Full dimensions: Approximately 8.5 inches diameter, 5.5inches tall. Designer: Lorna Bailey's work was originally inspired by the art deco period and Clarice Cliff, it is handmade and hand painted. Each piece is only produced for a short period, and is highly collectible.
