Peavey V-Type EXP Limited Edition. Korea 2003. Gloss Black. Super Condition+case

This is a killer, 2003 Peavey V-Type EXP Limited Edition in Gloss Black. Made in Korea, the quality and finish are spectacular. Construction is a solid, contoured Alder body with sharp violin cuts and quality Abalone binding.

It is mated to a hard Maple 24fret set in neck with the same beautiful binding and what has to be the best headstock ever. The Matt black hardware is all great quality too.

Mini grenade pin Grovers at the top and a really capable Peavey licensed Floyd Rose hold everything down impeccably. Fire power is provided by two Humbuckers controlled by 3way switching. In this particular example they are a set of Epiphone Alnicos. A high output 14k HOTHB8B at the bridge and an 8.5k HB6N in the neck. In this Alder bodied guitar, they lose a bit of their darkness and have much more bite and attack, especially the bridge and they definitely bring some more elegance to the sound.

Weighing in at 3.3kg/7.2lb the whole guitar feels lithe and alive, it really is top notch. The frets and fretboard are immaculate and all the hardware and electronics are working perfectly.

Being gloss black every mark will show, but apart from the usual generalised fine play/usage and cleaning marks, there are two small 3mm indentations near the bridge which have been touched in and 2 or 3 very tiny marks on the bottom inside edge. No other chips, dents or scratches. Complete with the original trem arm and a semi hard Gator case(tatty but serviceable) this is proper classy little stunner!
