Royal Doulton - Welcome Home - HN3299. Limited Edition of only 9,500. A lovely medium size model with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. When Britain's cities were targeted for bombing by the Luftwaffe during World War 2, children were evacuated to safer rural locations. These young children were often separated from their families for lengthy periods and lived with what were known as'Host Families'. The little boy is shown being'welcomed home' by his ginger cat after a spell as an evacuee.

He is depicted returning home with his belongings and a large bag of fresh produce from the countryside. The model measures approximately 8.5 inches high and comes from a very rare Limited Edition of only 9500, with this being number 3325.
