This is a really super find! 1937 James Audubon "Birds of America" This is a limited edition 845 / 2500. Because it was kept shelved and boxed - the book itself is in fabulous condition. Hardly any wear to edges of binding.

Pages are crisp and clean. Binding is in nice shape; not broken, though there is a familiar spot in the center. Colored plates are rich, clean, and intact.

The box itself is torn, but parts are there. Some attempt has been made to tape together which I have left alone to not further damage. I've never seen one with the box still accompanying the book, and in this case the box kept the book so beautifully preserved its just a blessing.
