This is a really good condition low mileage 1993 Japanese Domestic Market S-Special model imported to the UK in 2005. Now with only 98,000 miles.

It is my 7th MX5 so I know a good one. Power steering, electric windows, possible/probable air con (see below), MOT to July. All UK MOT history online note that "mileages" on the MOT history site and shown in the middle of the speedo are in kilometers - and the speedo itself reads in mph. No advisories at last MOT.

If you got a lift in a larger car to come to collect you'd probably put the mohair top in the larger car and the hard top on the Eunos. If you come by train you will just fit the mohair roof in the car with the hardtop on. Really good Brilliant Black paint and bodywork, great underneath (pics available - on Facebook - Dave Moore with the profile pic of a silver MX5 and my dog from Australia), very clean interior. Since the pics were taken the car now has black side reflectors, the rear number plate is slightly larger and more legal and still square, and the front number plate is on straight.

Xtra chassis braces, thicker anti-roll bars, Nardi leather steering wheel, rare OEM BBS wheels and good, very grippy tyres, OEM rear spoiler, OEM front strut brace and extra under body bracing, lightened flywheel, short shift kit (magic), OEM LSD, OEM Bilstein shockers, car also seems to be on slightly lower springs than a standard NA/Eunos (but I'm not certain). Basically it's an even sportier version of the standard MX5/Eunos. The car has no known power modifications apart from a cold air intake, but seems to go more like a 1.8 than a 1.6. Medium condition vinyl hood with heated glass window, cold air intake (sounds good), very effective recent EBC brakes. Frankenstein bolts and middle brackets ready for a hardtop.

Dashboard fixings ready for a full-length tonneau cover. Refurbished original Nardi black leather steering wheel and as-new Mazda leather gear knob.

BBS wheel centre spanner is present. Just had a very full inspection/service/pre-MOT by MX5 specialists including head gasket, head skim, new plugs, thermostat, front upper ball joint covers, all fluids, water pump, cambelt and pulleys, new speedo head, all new dash bulbs, all new silicone coolant hoses with hi-spec fixings, alternator overhaul, check of all earth straps, new larger battery and brackets to ensure all electrics working properly. It would benefit from a better radio, the heated rear window wiring up, the passenger window mechanism fixing, and the boot floor painting around the battery. There is no service history (common with imports as they don't come to UK with a service book). Theres a pin point dink in the offside rear quarter panel where the battery has moved in the past - also a light scratch in that area. Theres a scratch under the right front reflector. These would be fine for most people just touched up and the car would still look much younger than 28 years. The air con is not fully cold.

The most critical person might notice a single hairline crack on the dash and one on the tombstone. There will be minor marks around the car such as you will get with any relatively old vehicle, but less so on this one than most.

But please see and inspect and blow up the pics to see what a good car it is. Not included, but available (unfitted and by separate negotiation), are a stainless clutch hose, a better radio, a pair of brighter headlights, a black mohair hood with heated glass in very good condition, a black hardtop in very good condition, a wind-blocker, a very rare full tonneau cover, a soft top cover, and various MX5 memorabilia. See the new info above about the hard top and the mohair hood. More pics available for serious enquirers via Dave Moore on Facebook (I'm the profile with a pic of my old silver NB and my Golden Retriever). 1992 Eunos Roadster S-Special (88 kW / 120 PS / 118 hp) (since July 1992 for Japan) specs review (automobile-catalog.

Collection from Poulton le Fylde near Blackpool. I'll happily collect you from the station if you come by train. I'm retired so can meet you most days times although I find I do later in the day better than earlier.

Please ignore where the listing says I will post it. Rear shockers are now known to be black, so are replacements for the original Bilsteins. The fronts are yellow and believed to be the original Bilsteins. They fronts and rears appear to be happily balanced in use on the road including during spirited driving.

At least to this veteran of 60+ MX5 track and sprint days, anyway. Mazda didn't do much in the way of rustproofing to these cars, or later MX5s for that matter.

This one has lasted 28 years and with no advisories on the last MOT. After that it needs maintenance spraying twice a year with Lanoguard, and should last another 28 years before another full treatment. There are cheaper jobs out there, just as there are cheaper cars out there, but this quote was for the best, most thorough work by the best, most experienced guy using the best, longest lasting materials.

The optional hard top will be available on around 5 April, if required. The optional (never used) track wheels and tyres have found a new home.

The last 6 of the VIN are 21399, which means it has the upgraded more reliable longer lasting long-nosed crankshaft. More pics on my Facebook profile. Brilliant Black (PZ) primer, touch up, and clear lacquer touch up paints will come with the car.

After 5 weeks of research on every MX5 forum I could find, Paul, my local mechanic, added lots of new foam to various parts of the heater, which now directs the hot air better and stops cold air sneaking in. It is now possible to drive with the roof down in cold weather without wearing all the clothes in your wardrobe.

The most eagle eyed of viewers might have noticed the rubber covers were missing of the bottom of the wiper arms where they connect with the spline drive. I've now noticed this myself and sorted it. The latest MOT was just a PASS with no advisories, whereas previous ones have contained advisories, including for rust, between 4 and 5 years ago, when the car had then been in the UK, and thus in our climate, for nearly a decade. Previous owners seem to have had a bad habit of turning up for MOTs without checking obvious small things first.

Clearly these and the rust have been properly dealt with since, thus the latest pass with no advisories. The item "Very good condition 118hp Limited Edition 1993 Mazda Eunos 1.6.
